Grade 10 Farewell Assembly
As 2025 begins, our Grade 10 students step into their final lap of the IGCSE. Marking this transition, they hosted a memorable farewell assembly, taking center stage at Gilbert and captivating the audience with their performances, reflections, and heartfelt moments. It was an event filled with nostalgia, encouragement, and camaraderie—setting the stage for the journey ahead.
New Student Government Takes Charge

BIS Shines at Connections-India @ NCPA
“Lights, Lines, and Lifelong Lessons: From a team of 22 young thespians across Grades 7-11, BIS proudly took the stage at Connections-India, a National Theatre-UK & NCPA collaboration. After months of hard work, tackling a challenging script, and overcoming hurdles (including injuries!), our students delivered a finale performance to remember on January 26th.
This journey wasn’t just about acting—it was about teamwork, resilience, and discovering the magic of professional theatre. A shout out to our director Danesh Khambata, and the pioneers who brought this program to life.

Spirit, Sports & Synergy
A spectacular display of enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and house spirit, truly reflecting the vibrant ethos of our school. From the grandeur of the march pasts to the excitement of parent races and the timeless tug of war, every moment was filled with cheers and energy. It was a weekend where families, students, and staff came together to celebrate the joy of competition and camaraderie.
Pajamas With a Purpose
Our Lower Prep students recently embarked on an enchanting evening filled with learning and adventure. They delved into the mysteries of day and night through hands-on experiments and observational walks. The evening’s highlight was camping in tents, where students roasted marshmallows, sipped on warm hot chocolate, and enjoyed a cozy pajama party. This unique blend of education and fun left everyone with glowing memories to treasure. As Aristotle said “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them.”
Year 11 CAS Camp
The trip to Tilonia, Rajasthan, was a transformative experience. The students explored The Barefoot College, a remarkable blend of tradition and modernity, powered by solar energy and progressive values. They engaged in meaningful activities like making sanitary pads, solar lanterns, and compost, guided by the inspiring ‘Solar Mamas.’ Puppet shows, crafted and performed by students, spread messages of sustainability and waste management. Interactions with rural school students through cricket, art, and science created lasting bonds. Creative workshops like block printing and ‘Kabaad se Jugaad’ added a unique touch. This immersive experience fostered invaluable skills, empathy, and memories to cherish for a lifetime.

We were privileged to welcome Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, the 50th Chief Justice of India. The students engaged him in an insightful fireside chat, exploring his incredible journey, values, and monumental contributions to justice. The discussion touched on topics such as choosing public service over a legal career in the private sector, navigating biases and emotions while delivering landmark judgments, creating inclusive spaces in society, the right to privacy, LGBTQ+ rights, gender equality, and women’s advocacy. Justice Chandrachud’s powerful words left a lasting impression, inspiring students to consider lives dedicated to service and to act responsibly for a better future for India

The IB Diploma Program team organised a session where BIS alumni from various universities across India, shared their experiences and insights from life at university, and answered student questions as well. This was a valuable opportunity to hear firsthand perspectives on higher education in India, gain clarity on options students may be considering, and explore pathways that may align with their goals.

IBDP Math Voyage: From Sea to Stone

The IBDP Year 11 students embarked on an exciting journey to the Elephanta Caves, where they explored the fascinating elements of mathematics in nature, architecture, and the sea. This unique experiential learning trip was not only a mission to discover geometry, symmetry, and patterns etched into the natural and historical surroundings but also a celebration of the mathematical beauty all around us.

Mumbai Treasure Hunt
Enthusiastic Upper Prep adventurers set out on an unforgettable Mumbai Treasure Hunt, blending fun, exploration, and learning!
Guided by parents and teachers, our 5 & 6 year-olds navigated maps and clues to uncover iconic city landmarks like parks and libraries. Along the way, they met community helpers, learning about their vital roles in making Mumbai so special.
The treasure hunt sharpened their observation skills, encouraged teamwork, and sparked endless curiosity. Laughter and excitement filled the day as our young explorers bonded with friends and families, creating lasting memories and valuable life skills.
Grade 5 EduTour
The senior-most class of the Junior School embarked on an exciting adventure to Ranthambore for their annual EduTour. The trip was packed with unforgettable experiences, including thrilling tiger sightings, engaging visits to local villages, and meaningful discussions centered around the importance of conservation.
