Prioritising Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing

Creating a safe space that enhances & enriches our children's emotional health

Investing in student well-being is a priority for BIS. We have a robust Student Resource Centre (SRC) that runs various programs to support & nurture students, creating a safe space for the children.

The SRC has its doors open to children from Lower Prep (LP) all the way through Grade 12, through initiatives like well-being classes, circle time & one on one counselling. We have embraced SEE (Social Emotional Ethical) Learning as our over-arching theme, which fosters emotional, social as well as ethical intelligence in students.

SEE Learning is the culmination of an academic collaboration between Emory University & His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

“Lights, Lines, and Lifelong Lessons: From a team of 22 young thespians across Grades 7-11, BIS proudly took the stage at Connections-India, a National Theatre-UK & NCPA collaboration. After months of hard work, tackling a challenging script, and overcoming hurdles (including injuries!), our students delivered a finale performance to remember on January 26th.

This journey wasn’t just about acting—it was about teamwork, resilience, and discovering the magic of professional theatre. A shout out to our director Danesh Khambata, and the pioneers who brought this program to life.

Integrating Creativity & Knowledge

Integrating Creativity & Knowledge

Grade 9 students took on the challenge of answering some of life’s most profound questions through their Integrated Projects:

“How is current knowledge shaped by its historical development?”
“What is the relationship between knowledge and culture?”

This unique initiative encourages students to delve into critical thinking, research deeply, and present well-reasoned arguments while integrating concepts from multiple disciplines.
