Priti Merchant

Priti Merchant has been with BIS since 2011. Through the years, she has taught Mathematics in the Primary ( Grade 5 ) and Middle ( Grades 6, 7 and 8 ) school. She is now, also the Cocurricular Coordinator at BIS.

Having graduated with a B.Com degree from the Mumbai University, Priti went on to pursue a career in law and graduated with a L.L.B degree after which she practised law at the Bombay High Court. She worked with differently abled students before joining BIS in 2011 and went on to procure a B.Ed from the Lucknow University in 2014.

Priti has attended the JodoGyan workshop and the CIE Secondary 1 Curriculum Workshop, in Bangalore, …She enjoys Mathematics and teaches with the aim of developing a similar passion for the subject in all her students. Her joy comes from making children stretch their minds and see a problem through different perspectives—and in developing in them a deep rooted love for the subject.

As the Cocurricular Coordinator, Priti is involved in the holistic growth of students in the middle and secondary years. Through offerings of different co-curricular activities and participation in various inter school events, Priti aims to contribute to the all round and holistic growth of the BIS student.
