I’ve been teaching for almost 30 years. I started with college students at the Masters level, but I soon discovered that my real passion lay in working on the Reading and Writing skills of young children, from primary through high school.

My interests in Literature and Psychology have given me an understanding of how critical the early years are, for language and brain development. I have felt truly worthwhile, working with reluctant and struggling middle and high schoolers equipping them with literacy skills to become confident learners. Language is an important life skill and as teachers we can influence our students in so many powerful ways.

I have done Phonic workshops for teachers of the Primary, and also regularly volunteer at a Municipal School, training teachers to bring more magic into their reading and writing classrooms.

I love reading (of course), watching war movies (surprise, surprise), fitness (you wanna go?!) and music (to dance to, to work with, to celebrate life).
