August was special as students in middle and senior school picked up their books and materials from school, marking the start of a new academic year. This was also a month when online classes settled into the regularity of a new timetable, where middle school now ends synchronous classes by lunch time. While inter-house events will take off only from September, August was filled with an intense schedule for Founders’ Day prep. Moving this event on an online format, Founders’ Day rehearsals happened post school hours all through August. Our senior-most students took on the planning and execution of UNIS (United Nations in Session), our in-house model United Nations program, and while it was immensely challenging on the virtual platform, it was a meaningful and valuable experience for Grades 8, 9 and 10.
