A suggestion from the students of Grade 3, in a persuasive letter to the Principal and Primary Head, requesting for permission to go on an Edutour led the teaching team to host a fun, yet educational overnight camp in the school on April 12, 2019.
Planned by a Grade 3 homeroom team ably and enthusiastically assisted by the class mothers, volunteer parents, and many of the staff members, put together a day long programme of learning and fun.
There was a visit to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya to inquire into endangered species, followed by the setting up of a mini petting zoo indoors. Later, there were kinesthetic team building games included a few traditional Indian ones, and a fun-filled board game session was organised to challenge their thinking. The evening ended with a scrumptious Italian meal followed by a movie night. And then, lights off!
Early in the morning, the young children who till then were chirping around, joined a yoga session to calm their mind and body. Finally, following a sumptuous South Indian meal they all went back to their homes and parents.
